The Dream Is Shattered, Sorry Dr King is the title of this piece.

The Dream Is Shattered, Sorry Dr King is Framed and is an acrylic on canvas, a painting 50cm x 40cm. It is my latest work and will be hung in the next exhibition at the Emu Park Art Gallery. The next exhibition will be opening on approximately the 11th June.

Martin Luther King is one of the most inspirational men of my lifetime. It was such a shame that he was taken so early and taken in the very tragic American way. He was assassinated.

The United States of America could certainly do with a lot more of his type and his type of leadership right now.

There is a very dangerous imbecile lurking again and one who looks to threaten the democracy of his own country.

Dr King had a dream: When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every tenement and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old spiritual, “Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty, we are free at last.”

I believe that Dr King’s dream is now irrepairable shattered with the recent history of the Land of the Free and what is around the corner.
