Heading Off To The Islands is the title of this piece. I’ve always loved watching the many different birds flying around as I do the morning beach walk with the wolfpack. (My two dogs)
This particular morning (17/5/25) ‘we’ actually had a flock of Black Cockatoos fly directly over us at low altitude and yes, they were heading off into the direction of the local islands. It was so coincidental that day that I was about to finish this and they (the black cockatoos) flew over and directly out to sea. It was a magical sight for sure.

I have submitting ‘Heading Off To The Islands’ into the next Members Exhibition at the Emu Park Art Gallery. The exhibition opened on the 21/22 of May 2025.
If you have not visited the Local Emu Park Gallery and Gift Shop then I highly recommend that you do so. Admission is FREE and the Gallery is open from Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 4pm
There is a great Gift Shop there too, stocked with great works from local artists.
