The introduction of 'flash' to your webpage can generate life into a otherwise stagnant page.

If it is an 'in your face' type effect you require or something that will hook the viewer to your site, then flash is for you.

If it is just information you want to promote and without delay then flash will probably not suit your needs.

Basically if the flash file size is kept to a reasonable size then the download time will not have an undesirable effect on the viewer.

It is recommended that you must have the viewers attention within 10 seconds or more than likely they will move on to another site.
